job interview at boots

Honestly I think it just kind of depends on what management decides, especially if there's nothing specific on their employment policies about bright hair and piercings, I mean there's people I've seen work in tesco with green hair and piercings so I wouldn't worry about it too much as it's more widely accepted nowadays anyway

Hi kodywithak12

Congratulations on getting a interview with boots as you know the process is sometimes difficult to get through but you made it to a interview in-store with the manager and perhaps another staff member.

First of all don't panic to much regarding the colour of your hair because I see a lot of the young staff members ( ages between 16 - 24 roughly) with multi coloured hair and piercings and they work in boots where I work in.

For your question on Autistic, boots will have to follow the rules under the disability laws and yes they do employ disabled people and people with autism, autistic, and other disabilities. They should support you and make sure you are managing to do the job if you are successful with your interview.

The main thing for you is getting through your interview with the manager and answering the questions put to you the very up most best 💗, relax and try not to be too nervous, plus if you have a opportunity at the end of the interview to ask them any questions then take the opportunity to do so if possible.
The interview is questions and answers session first, then normally you'll be asked to do something on the shop floor ( could be for example as unfair it's unpredictable what you will be asked to do- it maybe 🤔 🤔 meet and greet people as they enter the store - especially if big store, or you could be asked to approach a member of public in-store to ask if you can help them with anything ( don't panic over that because all they are doing is seeing how good you are with your communication skills as they are very important for working in boots, or perhaps you might be asked to find some items and bring it back and you'll be asked about the items - tend to read the instructions on the packaging for instructions on how to use the items okay). Some managers don't even do anything like that except the interview questions 😔 😔 😔 but your interview is normally scheduled for around a hour to allow them to do this and afterwards they will go back to the office and ask some more questions and then you will be told when they will let you know about the job.

Good luck with your interview and look forward to a update on how you get on and whether you get the job offer.
