Hi 04MR17! ^-^ The Tube and the buses are really convenient ways of getting around, so I would recommend taking them both. Usually, the majority of London's tube lines operate every few minutes, so if you're short on time and have both options open to you, I'd suggest taking the Underground as the buses sometimes come a little earlier or later. I've even had instances where the buses just do not turn up altogether, though this is relatively rare.

I'd also recommend getting an Oyster card so you can simply tap in and tap out of train stations and buses. For students, you could get an 18+ oyster card to save 30% on adult-rate Travelcards and Bus & Tram Pass season tickets for off-peak hours and this would be really helpful if you already currently have a Bus & Tram Pass season ticket!

You can also rent a bicycle and cycle! Alternatively, if you'd like something especially convenient, you can rent a Lime bike which you can pick up from the nearest Lime bicycle stand, ride it wherever you like, and return it around your desired location.

Hope this helps!
