Question about Year Abroad

I will be applying for master's next year. I also studied for a year abroad, but my grades are quite low. It is considered pass/fail for my degree. When I apply for masters, will they ask for my year abroad grade? And also for a phd.

Some universities will ask for your overall grade but others will ask for a transcript of your grades. It really depends on which universities you are interested in applying to and which degree programme. Universities can recognise the difficulties of year abroad study, especially as it's an unfamiliar setting and teaching styles so I would try not to worry too much about this. Many universities take a holistic approach when assessing applications so you have an opportunity to demonstrate your skills and interests beyond just your grades.

Thanks for the reply! As far as I'm aware, I don't believe my Degree transcript will include my study abroad modules and grades, as it was a year, it will merely mention it in the title. I am hoping to apply for London uni's and Oxbridge in the sciences, my average at the moment is 80+ and my study abroad is like a 2:2 hahah.
So to specify my question, do masters applications usually require all transcripts or just the one from the organisation awarding me a degree? My uni states my marks will not be visible (from the year abroad)
