csm ma fashion image portfolio tips or any other major !! plz helpme

Hi, I’m about to apply for a master’s in Fashion Image.

They said we usually submit 4–5 projects for the seminar, so I’m wondering how many pages I should dedicate to development within each project. Since this isn’t fashion design or fine art but fashion image, I focused more on visual development and completion. If I look at my portfolio just by the number of development and final pages, the ratio is 7:13. Is this okay? I really have no references for portfolios in this field, so I’m a bit lost.

Hi @cocojang
I would say doing 2-3 pages for development is best. Try not to overwhelm the pages. But ultimately, it's up to what you feel best represents each project.

As for some References, Behance is always a good spot to find portfolio inspiration. I also found an article about the previous cohort of your course, which could give you some inspiration, and potentially you could reach out to an alumni of your course for some portfolio tips! - https://1granary.com/fashion-image/csm-ma-fashion-image-2024-visions-of-identity/

Good luck and try not to put too much pressure on yourself!!
