Reference for my CV

I am making my professional CV where I will be applying for internships etc…

I spoke to my careers team and they advise me to get 2 references. I got 1 from my store manager and I need another one, preferably from my university. I don’t have a university tutor and been asking my lecturer. Anyone know how I can get a reference from my university or who I can ask?

Any academic staff member who is familiar with you/your work will be a good reference

Keep in mind that references are usually at the end of a job application and should not be written on your CV

So I don’t write it in my cv only when asked in the application?

No, you just ask them if they'd be prepared to give a reference and if so, which contact details they want you to give. Except in a few areas like education, employers only take up references, ie ask referees, of the successful candidate. When you get a job offer, then you give the employer your referee's contact details and they go to the referee directly for the reference. You don't waste space on your CV with referee details.
