Student finance hasn't reviewed evidence?

Hi, I applied for student finance back in March, after it was approved I was told I hadn't inputted my national insurance number (I had), when I went to insert it into the "application stage" on the website it came up with an error telling me it was already in their system.
March 24th, I call student finance and get told that they have my national insurance number and that I need to wait 2 weeks for the DWP to approve it.
May 30th, my "application status" on the website is still showing that evidence is being reviewed and that I need to input my NI (I can't). I attempt to call again, but the call keeps getting cancelled and I'm sent a link to the website (not helpful lol). Instead, I speak to the "virtual assistant" (not just the bot) who tells me they have my NI and are simply waiting for the DWP to approve it and that I should wait 2 weeks.
At no point was I ever told I needed to sumbit evidence, something I would struggle with anyway as I don't have any payslips or anything they ask for on the website - as I've never had a job.
At this point its been around 14 weeks since I've applied, should I be worried, and has anybody else been in this situation, as I've asked my teachers and nobody has heard of this issue before.
Thank you!

Yes, an undergraduate

Hi there, if you have provided your National Insurance Number (NINO) and this has already been validated with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), the payments will not schedule until 40 working days prior to the start of the course, this may not show as updated until these have been scheduled. So, is it correct for the website to still be showing that my application is on "Step 3/5 (Reviewing evidence)", and it still telling me I have actions to complete "Registration status (which I understand will not be completed yet)" and "Enter your National Insurance Number".
I was also told in the first phone call that the DWP should have validated this by mid April, so I'm confused on why in late May I was being told via chat assistance it still hadn't been approved?
My issue is, is that I don't know if the DWP has approved it and I've spent months worrying over this

Hi there. In this case I would advise contacting us directly over the phone. We can verify if this has been fully validated correctly and if it has not, we can send this to a dedicated team who can review queries relating to the National Insurance Number validation and resolve this. Thanks, David

I can't get through on the phone, when I answer the questions I get told a phone call is not necessary and just get messaged a link to the website

I would advise going through this and selecting another option sorry. We can only resolve this with yourself over the phone or via live chat. Thanks, David
