Query regarding Further Maths

My son, currently in Year 12, has a predicted A grade in Further Maths. He's recently become worried that Year 13 Further Maths will be significantly harder than Year 12, and he's feeling insecure about achieving a good final grade.
Has anyone had similar experiences to share regarding the jump in difficulty from Year 12 to Year 13 FM? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It really depends on what degree your son intends on applying to, but Further Maths may not be needed at all (Unless of course it is a maths or engineering degree)
Really the only solution if your son does end up struggling is just to work harder and study more, but if this fails, possibly look into tutoring if within your budget. I've known multiple people who were struggling with this level of maths, getting Bs and Cs, but a good tutor was able to bring up their grade to the A standard.
Very best of luck to him!

Which examboard is your son studying? 😧 Because Pearson Edexcel has a lot of videos on YouTube and DrFrost is also excellent.
