Unable to move in on the 22nd.

So, my parents are going on holiday on the 15th and are unable to drive me to swansea to help me move in and take all my stuff. is anyone aware or been through a scenario where they could move their stuff in a week before the first day? thank u, any advice is appreciated

Phone the accomodation team and ask - but its exceptionally unlikely that you can move-in earlier. You will probably just have to get the train with a large suitcase and then ask you family to deliver everything else to Uni when they are home.

Hi,

I have spoken to the accommodation office to confirm the arrival dates and the first date you can move your belongings will be Wednesday 17th September. It is very unlikely that your accommodation will be available to move into prior to the Wednesday.

Do you have another family member/friend who is able to help you with the move? Alternatively, as suggested, arrive with enough of your belongings and your family bring the rest when they have returned?

I know many students and parents like to share the 'moving in' day as it is an important step but hopefully you will be able to arrange a suitable alternative.
