How does Student Finance Work for Sandwich Degrees?

Im currently studying a sandwich degree and I feel im going to fail a 40 credit core unit.

My University says that I can retake the module but that I may have to extend my study time.

My question is, would I still get Student Finance for the extra time or does the 4 year funding include the placement year as the "gift year" I've been seeing?

Hi there, for to assist you with your query please answer the following questions:
Name of the university you are studying?
Exact course title of the current course?
Full Time or Part Time course?
How many years is the course in total?
How many years have you used so far?
Thanks, Stephen.

Hi there. If you have not studied before or repeated any years of funding then you will be okay for support. If this is the case and the course falls into the next Academic Year and you need to use your gift year then this will cover you for the fee support. Thanks, David

Yes, that's right - you're entitled to one additional year of funding.

Thanks, Graeme
