Is anyone here who can point advantage and disadvantage at online learning
Hey , I do an acess to He course with learn direct . It’s a great course and I can study online which is great . I can do it any time of day which is perfect for me because I have an almost 1 year old daughter and I’m a single parent . However , they do take a while to mark your work which can be frustrating if you’re planning to do university .also if you are someone who needs things verbally explained to you then it may not be the right choice for you as it’s a lot of reading and independent read watch . Hope this helps xx

I'd learn somewhere more reputable and more established than the sham 'Arden University'. It's a total waste of money.

Hello, I did my degree and post graduate diplomas at traditional 'red brick' universities, and did my MSc (conversion) at Arden and had a great time.

With any online provider it's worth seeking advice with regards to the quality of the provision - Arden's psychology courses are accredited by the British Psychological Society and the courses are eligible for a student loan which are always positive signs.

For me personally, I'm glad that I did some on site learning first when I was younger as I learnt a lot about the mechanics of studying such as how to do research, use journals, do referencing, which meant I progressed onto a masters quite well (if I may say so).

Arden are specialists in online learning, some traditional red brick universities have tried to just port all of their resources online and sell it as an online course but the resources were not originally designed for that purpose (I have worked in F.E and H.E myself for over 10 years).

Online learning with ANY provider allows a great flexibility, usually great access to academic journals, but if you see socialising as a large part of how you learn it might not be for you. Luckily, Arden offer a blended learning option for many of their courses which is a nice mix of the two learning styles. As I already had a degree, a PGCE and a PGC SENDco I felt like I had made enough friends in the academic world, to dive straight into online learning

Best of luck with whatever provider you choose
