Why have i not got max loan

My mum has no Job and is on benefits. I have done current year form and for 25/26 school year i only get 9k. The first two payments are so small i can’t pay rent. I’ve not been able to get a Job in my uni city. I’m not taking a year out. How will i get max loan that i am entitled to
Check that your parent has submitted their financial details if you selected to be considered for the full means tested loan.

If they have submitted it - don't worry if it's showing initially the minimum loan. The way SFE processes the loan assessments is they aim to assess everyone for the minimum to begin with to ensure everyone has something when they start uni. For people who are eligible for the higher means tested amounts, they will continue assessing your application and if eligible for the higher amount, will send an updated entitlement letter in future

Do make sure your parent has completed their bits though!

Note however the maximum maintenance loan for someone living away from their family home outside of London is 10,544 GBP (13,762 GBP in London). If you will be living in your family home during term time, you get a lower maintenance loan.

Of course I have sent all the evidence. They increased my loan from 6-9k but I should be awarded 10k due to the 80% drop in income and my mum only getting 11 grand a year. I know how it works on my end I want to know why I’ve not been awarded what I rightfully should get. I cannot take another year out of uni

As I noted in the large section of my reply you did not reference, they initially assess applicants for the lower amount then will adjust it upwards as they continue processing the application. So this may still be revised upwards.

As suggested, check if your parent has submitted their financial details - they submit this separate to the evidence you submit. If they have not submitted this yet or submitted the wrong evidence this may delay matters or cause them to assess you incorrectly so you should check with your parent they have also done their bit.

If after confirming your parent has submitted their evidence and it's been more than 8 weeks since they submitted it, you may wish to contact SFE to query it (politely) and understand if anything is missing as based on your understanding the amount on your award letter does not match what you were anticipating.

I was correct with my answer and application I just am dyslexic and read the sfe letter in the wrong order and got tuition and maintenance loan. I have been awarded the max loan because I did do everything right and so did my mum.
