How can I get work experience online?

United Nations Online Volunteers have some great assignments including article writing and they are based in different countries but completely remote. I would advise to make an account and when you have completed an assignment you get a certificate of completion.

Hi!
These are a few options I know of for getting virtual experience:
•
Extern has lots of options for “externships” (like internships but not being formally employed for the company)
•
Forage also has lots for corporate jobs if you’re interested in finance, tech, law etc
•
Springpod has a few structured virtual work experience programs
•
Coursera, edX, Udemy etc offer online courses if you just want to learn about a new field
•
Trackr has a few work experience programs/insight days for pre-uni students - these are mostly in-person but there might be some virtual ones
•
Some companies also offer work experience programs - so keep an eye out on their career websites
