work experience year 10

Hi everyone, im daisy and im currently coming towards the end of year 10 and am thinking about career options, post-16 and post-18.
my school used to have a week where they let year 10s do work experience however has limited this to only 1 day and due to these circumstances i have been forced to do my dad who works at home (the school is fine with it)
however, i still want to have some sort of experince and I have 4 free weeks in the summer so am looking for somewhere (even if it was for one week like that would be perfect) or just any sort of placement but i have no idea and figured i should start looking now

if anyone has absolutely ANY ideas at all please do let me know i am willing to try almost any avenue!
for context i detest science, love computing/ computer science and love languages (currently studying french and spanish at gcse with predicted 9s and learning japanese as a side quest for a trip to japan next year)

thanks everyone, bye!

Since you love computing/ computer science maybe try looking for some online courses or any volunteering that only requires doing things online? It would be easier to find ++ it is in demand too.

Reach out to local companies for work experience, volunteering, shadowing
Look at online options on Springpod and unifrog

hey!! im in year 10 tooo

since you like computing theres this link my computing teacher shared earlier today that he says students from my school have enjoyed in the past

i think its more of a program than work experience, and he also said uts "handy for those doing cyber EPQ"

Hi Daisy it's a great you are thinking ahead about your career options, given your interest in computing, computer science and language, I have ideas for you, code camps or workshops, look for summer camps or workshops that focuses on coding app development or games development, reach out to local tech companies or startup to see if they be willing too offer short term internship or placement, and you can also explore online platforms like codecademy free codecamp, or GitHub to gain practical experience in coding
