Second reference?

Hi,

I’ve been asked to provide a second reference for my adult nursing application, I’ve asked my previous university and one of my lecturers said they’ll do it, now I’m a bit worried what they’ll say as my attendance wasn’t great, and tbh I don’t think I ever spoke to them once throughout the whole year on my course. I’m more worried about them speaking about my attendance tbh, because I don’t want it to look like I was a really bad student.

TIA,

Hey! I had to get a reference from my personal tutor a couple of months ago and was really worried about what they might say, I also had issues with my attendance. I also had one meeting with her over the three years I was at uni so I didn’t even know her and she probably doesn’t even know me.

I’ll be honest when she sent me the reference it was very good. I was actually shocked. It would be highly unprofessional for your ex tutor to slate you. If they didn’t think they could give you a good reference they would have refused to do one. The fact they have agreed to do you one is a good thing. Will they be sending the reference directly to you first or straight to your uni?

This has kind of settled my worries looool & yeah they’re going to send the reference to my university, so I don’t think I’ll get to read it anyway.
