i’m wondering if anyone is in chancellors court at edge hill university this new academic year. Specifically in the Binns building, my friends going to be in there and he’s not managed to find anyone else that will be.

Hi @wikiii06,

If your friends hasn't already tried, it might be worth joining the Edge Hill accommodation 25/26 facebook group where people tend to comment on the accommodation they will be staying in to find others. Most people tend to find their flatmates through this group and then make a seperate group chat for people in their flat. Even if they can't find their flatmates, it might be a nice way to get to know some other people going to Edge Hill and finding people they might be studying with in September.

Hopefully your friend finds some of their flatmates soon and good luck to them with their course!

Hi, I'm looking at Edge Hill because it does one particular course. But not sure if it's just a bit too small and out of the way. Sorry to jump on your thread, but where do people live in second and third years?

That’s great that you’ve found a course you’re interested in studying!

Second and third years often move into Ormskirk which is the town just a ten/fifteen minute walk or a couple of minutes on the free university bus from Edge Hill. There are plenty of student properties - flats, houses, studios, etc. and most students move into a student property with some of their friends in Ormskirk. There are also many options where the landlord with arrange the other people you will be living with so you can secure yourself a room and the landlord will find your new flatmates for you. There is also support through the uni to help find these properties so there is no need to worry.

Alternatively, there are options for second and third years to live on campus! There is specific accommodation for second and third years only in Woodland Court as well as specific flats in Forest Court and Founders accommodation. These are allocated to second and third years as an alternative to living in Ormskirk and a great option if you enjoy living on campus.

Wherever you end up, there are plenty of options for students in their second and third year of study without having to travel far at all.
