How do I get work experience and/or where do I volunteer as a 15 year old

I can find anywhere. I don’t want a job just yet but I wanna just have options for when I can. And I wanna volunteer but can’t find anywhere suitable. Escpecially cus I’m quite shy and get kinda anxious when I’m by myself in social situations which sounds cringey but yh

Try online programs on Springpod, unifrog or the forage and then once youve done one of them you might have a better change to get future opportunities :dontknow:

Hey Aga,

It can be hard to try and find work experience, especially when you are young! Some great organisations that take on young volunteers include:

Vinspired: A platform for finding volunteering opportunities for young people aged 14-30.

British Red Cross: Offers roles from age 15 in various services.

Volunteer First: Provides opportunities for 13-17 year olds.

Royal Voluntary Service: Offers roles for students and young adults.

British Heart Foundation: Accepts volunteers aged 17+ in their shops and for fundraising

I understand volunteering can be scary when you are more introverted. However, volunteering is an amazing way to give back to the community, meet new people and build your CV. Also when you are applying for colleges, universities and jobs having that volunteer experience on your application will make you stand out massively!

Best of luck,

Tilly
