2025/2026 Maintenance Loan - Pre Settled Status
Hello!
I currently have Pre-Settled status and will be eligible for Settled on July 16th. I’ve been told it takes a maximum of 4 months to receive an answer. Does anyone know if I need to have settled status before term starts to be eligible for maintenance loan? If it’s up to 4 months then it will be November 16th at most so one month after term starts. It’s really stressing me out as I need the maintenance loan and think it’s ridiculous if I miss out by a month!
Any advice?

Hi there. Yes, for full funding eligibility you need to have settled status prior to the first day of the first Academic Year of your course. If you are awarded the settled status after this date but within 3 months of the Academic Year starting you can still be eligible but not for the full year Maintenance funding. Thanks , David
