As you’re unlikely to have studied either of these subjects before, have a read through what content is covered in each. Focus on picking the subject you feel you would be more interested in because it will make it easier for you to excel. I would recommend that you take a short online course in each of these subjects to get a feel of what they are like (sites like Springpod and openlearn have a variety of subject spotlights and short courses respectively) or watch some documentaries and webinars (eg those by universities via channel talent for example) to get a feel of these as subjects. You probably are capable in sciences given your other 2 choices, psychology requires good ability in science, maths and essay writing. For politics, you’d want to be doing well in subjects like English, History and/or Geography because you need to be able to write essays and study case studies. Both have a lot of content and are time consuming from what i know!

hiya i did both psych and politics at a level what exam board does your school do? because i feel both are fairly easy if that’s what you’re looking for, aqa psych you may get quicker in terms of how to answer the questions, but i don’t think either are very content heavy so i recommend you pick the one you like😁you can take a look at the a level psychology textbook year 1 and 2 to get a feel for how much content there is per paper.

I do Bio, Chem and Psych! I think it is a good combination and I really enjoyed it. Honestly, I think you could pic either psych or politics and still be able to manage bio and chem. Like the others have said just choose the one that you enjoy / like the look of the most. Good luck

Hi thank you for the help. My school does aqa for psychology but I'm not sure about politics. I would say I prefer politics I'm good at essay-based subjects but I'm also quiet good at science too I had a look and on average around 19% of psychology students get A s whereas around 26% for politics not sure how accurate that depicts the level of difficulty for the both but I'm leaning towards changing to politics. Not sure how much unis value psychology over politics for medicine I've emailed a few to see . But once again thankyou for the help and ill defo have a look at the textbooks. Cheers 👍️
