core maths aqa

ummmm so i chose core math because my shcool made it seem like a really fun and heavily discussion based math qualification
but i hate it with a passion.
it's nothing like how my teachers presented it to be and honestly i have no idea how to do any of the things
like sometimes ill get it and then next week i cant do anything.

so i was wondering, if i perfom poorly in my mocks would i be held back a year or would it affect my other alevels??
and to add to that, could like a predicted grade of a D or E in core maths affect my ability to get into uni- i've heard a lot of
people say extras like epq and core math don't really matter to unis, but is that really true and like does that count even when i just don't
bother witht the course??

Have you asked your school about any of this?
What are you hoping to do after a levels?
I think if you’re struggling and hate it you should probably just drop it

Drop it if you can i did core maths and got a terrible grade. In terms of its importance worst case scenario if they dont let you drop it (really try to convince them though I would say) unis dont look at it much. I received offers from Warwick for Law and University of Birmingham even got a interview for Cambridge, so yeah the grade really isn't that important. If you can drop it I think that would be best extra things are not as important as A levels A levels is what you really want to put your effort and time towards.
