Primary Education QTS Equipment
Hi everyone! I am starting my primary education with qts degree in September and I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions on what I need to get before I start.

That’s so exciting! You must be really looking forward to starting your Primary Education with QTS degree in September! It’s such a rewarding course and a brilliant career path to go into 🍎
You will most likely be required to complete a DBS check. If you haven’t heard anything yet, your university should be in touch soon with more details. It might also be a good idea to contact their Admissions team just to double-check that everything is in place for your start.
If you’re super keen to feel more prepared, you could ask if there’s a reading list available or try connecting with other course mates, this can really help put you at ease on your first day!

I would recommend that you get a planner - this could be physical or digital. I have a physical one and find that it really useful for keeping track of my schedule, post-session tasks and assignment deadlines. It is also really useful for placement as you can use it to keep a record of what lessons you will be teaching when.
You could also start to think about how you are going to take notes during lectures. I type them on OneNote alongside the PowerPoints, but there are lots of other options including Word and handwriting them.
