Please help!!!!!
I’m having an absolute nightmare right now. During the year 2022 I was a victim of SA and as a result I developed ptsd symptoms. I have an ongoing police investigation that was really fresh when I started university 2023/2024 which made my symptoms worse My course leader was not sympathetic of any police enquiries I had to make and any interviews that needed to be done during the time of any practical exams and told me I was unable to resit and this made my mental health worse worse ultimately making me fail my first year and apply for a different course at university. Coming to this year I have made a compelling personal reasons case as my mental health has significantly improved and everything has subsided making it available for me to transfer my course back to biomedical science like my original first year. I applied for compelling personal reasons with 5 professional evidence letters all of which have confirmed my mental health decline. One from the GP and CHMT one from a police ISVA my uni disability team and the wellbeing team here at uni. I have been denied compelling personal reasons because I changed my course? It stated
“Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding your application for Compelling Personal Reasons (CPR).
The evidence you have supplied in support of your application for Compelling Personal Reasons (CPR) for 2023/24 is insufficient to allow us to award you fee support during the 2025/26 academic year as we are only able to award one additional year of funding of CPR for your most recent previous course.”
What can I do? Surely this isn’t right? I feel like no matter what I do it’s always going wrong and this is so stressful so any help would really be appreciated.
Thank you.
