Uni offers after deferral

Hi,

Just wanted to ask that if i do end up taking a year out due to not getting the grades i need for my current offer, will my offer be the same if i reapply for 2026? Considering that i get 3 grade reductions, is it guaranteed that they will be applied in the same way? And also, if i do need ro resit, do i put in the grades i got or do i put pending?

Sorry if i sound really uneducated 😅

Thank you so much

Yes you can reapply to the same Unis and, unless they have changed their entry requirements for 2026, yes you would get the same offer - but be aware that whilst a repeat offer is very likely it is not guaranteed.

Yes, you should still qualify for any lower grade Contextual offer, assuming that the criteria has not been changed between this year and next year (check).

Yes, you must list your previous grades. It will be obvious from your age and your UCAS id that you are resitting so there is little point in trying to hide this. Your school reference should state that you are resitting because of previous poor results and will usually try to be very positive about this.

Btw, whilst its natural to assume you may have done badly after exams have finished, try not to go over endless 'what if' scenarios, it'll drive you nuts.
