Loughborough Fashion Design and Technology Degree

Hi, I went to look at Loughborough uni today and I was hoping any current students could tell me what it’s like on the course - I got the impression that it’s mostly tailored towards wearable clothes and functionality, rather than fashion as a decorative art form (which is what I’m interested in)

The course has only been running since 2023, so your best bet was speaking with the people that do the course in person when you came onto campus today.

You may want to email in ([email protected]) if you had more questions.

Hello,
It's great to hear you are interested in a fashion design and technology degree. We offer a range of courses that fall under that umbrella at our different campuses here at LCF which has a focus on fashion as an art form. I have linked the fashion design landing page below where we offer over a dozen different fashion design courses all varying in specialisms.

Make sure to check out our open days too if you would like to ask questions in person and tour the buildings.

Hi there @amelie.09 ,
It's great that you took time to go for an Open Day to get a better idea of the course. Alternatively you can also consider contacting current students on socials (eg. @lborodesign) to get a clearer picture on what the curriculum and course structure is like. 🤗
