Is it worth doing Physics AS?

I picked Maths, Further Maths and Physics for my Alevels next year but thinking of swapping out Physics for DT, the only issue is I am currently struggling between Architecture and Compsci at uni, and Physics is generally preferred for Compsci. Would taking AS Physics help with my application or is it not as valued for uni applications, and would I be better off just doing the full Physics Alevel?

To my knowledge, physics is often taken by comp sci applicants but unis do not prefer it. Have you seen preference for physics stated in entry requirements?

I've looked at a few uni courses and they don't require Physics but it is preferred, eg Imperial states Physics as a recommended subject only (Maths required), so technically I would be fine applying without Physics, but as you said most applicants take Physics and I'm worried I might be disadvantaged without it

If a subject is recommended that means that it is a subject which will help you with the course. It doesn’t mean you are more likely to be selected for the course. You could try taking all 4 subjects and then dropping one if the workload is too much or if you dislike one of them. For comp sci broadly, you want to be focusing on getting some skills in coding tbh.
