Failing one module in third year as a third year MEng student

Essentially will I have a chance to retake that one failed module during the summer or will mean that I have to retake the whole module at the next ordinary sitting (next year) . This would mean that I would have to waste a whole year just to pass this one module???

Context I study mechanical engineering at the university of Liverpool, the stuff online isn’t clear (the uni handbook). Very stressed and disappointed in myself sigh.

You might be able to retake the failed module during the summer resit period, depending on the university's policies and your specific situation. However, if you're a final-year student or received notification late, you might need to retake it at the next ordinary sitting (next year).
Contact your School Office for clarification on your options and potential impact on your degree progression.
