It’s amazing that you’re trying to boost your application so well done!
There’s some websites that host multiple essay competitions so try them!
Here are a few:
- the Royal Society of literature
- the royal commonwealth essay competition
-the Oxford and Cambridge essay competition
-the John Locke institute essay competition
-tutor2u and the student room
Some tips:
- choose topics aligned with your university course
-start early - some competitions have deadlines so start asap
-look for feedback opportunities to improve next time!

But be aware that these usually make very little difference to a UCAS application - its far more useful to just do some extra reading outside the A level syllabus.
