Grade requirements for uni

I applied to university of Kent a while ago and they gave me a conditional offer to get DDM in my IT BTEC course. on UCAS it says that the requirements to get into the course is either a DDM or a DMM (I think around 120-104 UCAS points)

I was wondering if I can still get in with a DMM as it is lower than the conditional offer I got?

You need to meet the requirements of your offer conditions in order to be sure of a place. In all likelihood, the DMM offer is that which would apply to contextual candidates - although there could be other reasons for some applicants receiving the lower offer.

However, even though you've been asked to achieve DDM, they might confirm your place if you achieve DMM - but they're not obliged to. Whether or not they opt to entirely depends on whether there are any places left on the course after having confirmed the places of offer-holders who have met their offer conditions.

I'd say you chances are good. :crossedf:

Hi,
I hope you are well!😊
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you!

What course have you applied for?🎓️

You have had some great advice on here already, but yes you would need to meet the offer that the university has offered you. The lower offer on the website is likely to be a contextual offer as DataVenia has explained. My best advice would be contact the clearing team as soon as possible on results day if you do not meet your offer. You can find lots of helpful information about clearing on our pages here, and you can also book a 1 to 1 meeting here with a member of staff if you have any questions about the clearing process🙂

We are wishing you the best of luck on results day! 🍀
I'm sure all of your hard will pay off!😊

Let us know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Best wishes,
Josie
