International Development at Kings

Hi, I wanted to ask if I have a solid opportunity to study at KCL. Im predicted an A*AB and have:

Volunteered at a nursing home

Started my own english tutoring agency

Volunteered at netball events

Work Experience at an accounting firm

Applied for the Aram Initiative, a non-profit organization

A diploma in Carnatic Violin

Part of the MIgrant Developers Programme

This is for an (AAA course btw), lmk what to do to increase my chnaces of getting in also lmk if I should switch to something else if I want to be a consultant

I think you have very strong chances imo, honestly. your supercurriculars are proper solid it's just, like are you absolutely not able to get the B up to an A predicted my guy? A*AB does average out to triple A but I'm unsure on how kcl view applications that have been made with predicteds lower than the minimum entry requirements; I know about scenarios whereby one has missed the offer for example (i.e. if someone missed by a maximum of 2 grades and got ABB for this course they would still have a high chance of being accepted) but I can't remember on how they are with predicteds meeting the reqs,
I would, say that it would be fine? perhaps see if you could send them a short email with regards to this or reach out to a student rep on the live chat (I think there is one iirc)

I for sure cannot get predicted up from a B 😭. This is for maths and tbh all odds are against me and I think even the B was a reach. I'll have a go at reaching out a student representative and hope for the best !!

yes! Im doing the course rn. I really like the content that we're studying, i love all the modules, except for Intro to development as that one is super confusing when you havent done politics a levels.I think my fav so far is history of global econ as you get to learn how economics was actually shaped to the way it is today.
