Dentistry work experience, very desperate ;-;

Hello, does anyone have any in-person work experience for dentistry that they’ve done based in London, or close to London? I am really struggling to find any. Can anyone who is a dental student or in year 13 who has already done dental work experience pls help me out? Thanks <3

I was really lucky because Im part of this AI programme which is linked with google, and someone one from the google team found me on LinkedIn and noticed I wanted to be a dentist, and he had a brother who owned a dental practice.

Literally me too. I was doing this since march and everyone kept rejecting me. If you're really desperate you can pay for work experience, but I know they can be really expensive. There are also a couple online ones that are free.

Js make sure if you do it you don't do what I did and ping like 10 ppl in one day (although I was well within the limits, but possibly stick to single digits to make sure)

Yeah fair enough I mean personally I changed my mind from being a dentist so I don't need to worry abt that anymore but I feel sorry for ppl who don't have connections bc dental wex is much harder to find than hospital wex

Completely agree! What made u not want to be a dentist anymore?

dw i didnt come across anything demoralising or negative abt the career, it was more of a personal reason; i simply realised that i never actually wanted to become a dentist, and i was just judging it based on the standard i used as a kid (work-life balance measured over pay) but now i'm reaching a point where the quality of the job itself is also important, and i didn't know if dentistry was something i could see myself doing every day for the rest of my life
