I haven't been to either. To be honest, I haven't explored many beaches in the UK. :cry2:

That is very nice! Do you go often?

I'm lucky enough to live a short drive to some of the best beaches in the UK, but my favourite beach would probably be in Rock, Cornwall.

Here's a photo I took here recently :smile:

Woolacombe - 3 miles of golden sand perfect for sand castles and great swimming and surfing.
Hard to say for someone who has not grown up in the UK, but it is said that Cornwall has a nice beach.

@CamembertPaws you will confirm, certainly.

Does Cornfall has more nice beaches than the Switzerland has nice mountains? :smile:

It is worth a visit in any case.

Friends of my parents had a B&B there when I was growing up - we went a few times. We've been back since and it's never too crowded either.

Yes it's on the North Devon coast.
My favourite beaches are Felixstowe, Dunwich, Cromer and Sidmouth.

Do you have a favourite German beach?

Baltic Sea and North Sea have many nice beaches to mention. The island Rugia and Sylt are the ones I know and like. The latter is pretty expensive for a day or two or more.
Depends what you want it for! For example, Blackpool is great but you need to specifically want to do Blackpool things, no good if you want a nice quiet walk along the seafront. No point picking a quiet seaside village if you want arcades and a pier.

I did always love going to Aberdyfi growing up though, and it had a good balance of civilisation and rurality!
