Hi there,
This can depend on which course you are on - and how long the course is.
I am studying my Integrated Masters and about to start final year, they did help me find a placement year for work experience between my second and third year and supported all students on the bachelors and the masters with finding them.
If you wanted to do a straight one year masters i don't know if you would have the time/opportunity to fit one in.
However for other subjects the course page should tell you if they encourage placements or additional work experience during the degree.
