How to study in summer???

So recently it had been really warm where I live, and I really love warm weather, however it is still not yet summer hols and I have what feels like a thousand assignments and homework due this week.
Unfortunately my feeble attempts at actually doing it are not particularly fruitful whatsoever, as after about five minutes I find myself bed rotting and scrolling.
I'm usually very punctual when it comes to work and so I feel quite annoyed and irritable at myself for this.
I think that because its so warm that I cant focus.
To be frank all I want to do is go out and enjoy the sunshine and I'm also sweating to death inside.
How on earth do I do assignments when its really hot outside?
Thanks for any tips

Hi! If this is feasible for you I would try do assignments in the morning, as you haven’t got all hot and bothered over the day and the temperatures aren’t too high yet. Then in the evening you can relax.

Hi @Liaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I completely agree with the first response to your question that you should try and do your assignments in the mornings when the weather is cooler and more comfortable! I have experienced the same issue as you before as I just love to be outside doing things when the weather is really nice rather than studying!

If you plan to get up at a reasonable time and get a few hours done on your assignment then by the time you are finished it wont be too late in the day and you can enjoy the sunshine! Doing it this way also motivates you more as you know once you are done you have the rest of the day to do what you please!

Give it a go and hopefully it helps! I know it definitely benefited me! Let me know if you have any more questions, I am more than happy to help.

Thanks, Matt 😁

Hello @Liaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I would suggest that you break it up into smaller chunks. That may look like doing half an hour of work and then some rest time using the pomodoro technique. Alternatively, you could do all your academic work in the morning and then relax/enjoy the sun in the afternoon.

It also sounds that you might be approaching burnout and so it is important that you do take care of yourself, you do take breaks and you do take breaks.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions please do let me know.
