Opinions?

So basically, I'm doing biology, psychology and English language for my A levels and in uni I want to study forensic science 😭but the problem is, I don't have an alternative if I end up failing 😣 I'm probably just overthinking.

How likely are you to fail? What are your predicted grades? What do your teachers think?

You're probably overthinking this!

You apply to 5 Universities - and that should include Unis with a range of different entry requirements.

Hi there Stax,

You are probably overthinking it a little, but I can hear that its a stressful time and so worrying like this is a perfectly normal reaction.

As McGinger says, when you find out your predicted grades, you tend to apply for 5 unis:

1 x aspirational choice with grade requirements 1 grade above what you're predicted

3 x realistic choices with grade requirements pitched at the same level as our predicted grades

1 x insurance choice with grade requirements 1-2 grades below your predicted grades. This must be somewhere you'd 100% be happy to go to, and is to give you a safety net in case you don't quite get what you expect on results day

The important thing is not to think too much about the future and the what ifs. Just do the best you can with your subjects now - make sure you keep up with your content and make neat, organised notes as you go, use your teachers for support, use past papers and their markschemes as a revision source, and use your free lessons wisely, and there is no reason at all why you can't end up doing very well and end up in a place you will enjoy.

I hope this helps, best of luck with everything 🙂

You can do a foundation course if you fail
