Year 10 speech

Hi I have a speech in year 10 and I wonder what does it affect, Some people says it goes on your gcse results is that true?

The assessment is just there to see how well you can present a piece of speech. It doesn't affect anything unless you fail it, in this case you'll have to redo it otherwise they may not let you do your english GCSE's (what my English teacher has told me), but failing this speech is almost impossible, you can get away with just a pass and not a distinction. Also it does go on your GCSE results paper, as a separate grade, it just says 'English spoken assessment: pass/distinction', that's it.

Hi yes it does go on your cert. It will be a distinction, merit, pass or fail. Best of luck with your speech xx

Yea exactly what the above said but dw it doesn’t really matter that much and it’s pretty easy to pass, or even get a distinction.
