Ready to apply, but no certificate yet

Hi everyone,

I'm a home student about to apply for an MSc and have uploaded most of the required and supporting evidence through the application portal, and it asked for my 'Previous Degree Transcript, CV/Resume, English Language Proficiency Certificate, Most recent degree award certificate and Previous degree award certificate/s'.

The uni I got my undergrad degree from has given me my results, so I've been able to submit the transcript as well as my CV and English language result. They haven't sent the certificate yet though, and they said it could take until the end of August for me to receive it. They also don't do a provisional degree certificate either unfortunately, so that option is off the table.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this experience and still been able to go on and study their postgrad here?

I'm sure someone from Southampton can help but I didn't need to provide my degree until I was registering for the course in early Sept so it should be fine, but again, I'm sure someone can be more specific about Southampton 🙂
Hi @environmental-ja

I am Nikki a current MSc Student also from England and I also applied early before getting transcripts and certificates. So when I applied I sent everything and then had time to wait and submit the relevant documents once you get them. I believe you have almost till the start date to provide this information but it shouldn't be a problem to wait a while as they understand you do not have access yet. So do not worry. If you are still concerned you should be able to contact a member of the team through the portal created from your application, or the admission team.
If you have any further questions please reach out, I am always happy to help.
Hope this helps

It’s normal to apply with interim documents and receive a conditional offer.
