Funding an Oxbridge Mathematics underg as a low-income German student

Hi everyone,

I’m a German student in the Finale years ar school applying this autumn for the Mathematics BA/MMath at Oxford (or Cambridge, if the financal support is better there?) (2026 entry). Because my family income is low, I’ll need scholarships or grants that don’t require repayment to cover tuition and living costs.

If you’ve successfully financed an Oxford undergraduate degree from any low-income background or heard about such whether you’re German or from elsewhere in the EU I’d love to hear:
But: I need someone who applies AFTER 2021, because before that the costs were as low as for "home students".

- Which awards/ bursaries covered most of your costs? And Which concrete scholarships do you have? (e.g. Crankstart Scholarship, college grants, national foundations, DAAD, private trusts)
- When did you secure the funding—before or after receiving your Oxford offer?
- Approximately how much did you still pay out-of-pocket per year?

Practical tips or useful links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
