Anyone doing adult nursing?

Can anyone explain me please .How is placement at the hospital works at the diet year. When the placement starts ,you doing 3 shift s all day ,or they can be day and night .Or one week day ,one week night ?Please can you explain.Thank you

Your shifts could be literally anything. It could be all days for the entirety of the placement, or there could be a few weeks of nights in there, or a week could be 1 day 2 nights.... there's no pattern to it at all.

I'm not sure what a Diet year is, but to answer your other questions:

Every Uni I looked at varied the shift patterns on each placement. So Placement Block 1 might be 9-5 weekdays, Placement Block 2 could then be 3x12 hours shifts, Block 3 is 4x 8hours overnights...or whatever.

The patterns might not be any of those exactly, but the idea is to give students experience working in all shift patterns by the end of the degree.

Generally it seems like you'll be told the block dates at the beginning of the year, and then your specific shifts & location 6-8 weeks before the Block.
