Definitely maybe, they currently do but that's three years away and an awful amount of time for admissions policies to change. Nobody - not even Swansea - will know until early 2027 at the earliest.

I am currently studying environmental science with the open university and would graduate in 2027. I thought it would be July but turns out its September 2027 so I have had to push back a year. I plan on sitting both the GAMSAT and the UCAT. I've also secured some work experience, more so for my sake to see if I can persevere and enjoy working in a hospital environment for a longer period. Is there anything else I can do increase my chances? Does feel disheartening to think I might spend the next 2 years trying to maximise my chances only to be met with a no.
Also is there no chance universities would accept the results without having to have graduated or have a degree by October? Could a classification letter from the open university not suffice?

I have a Overseas BSc Anatomy degree (evaluated as Bachelors degree - not Honours degree - by UK ENIC), Planning on Open University BSc (combined or Biology or Biomedical Science). Chances of GEM success in any UK GEM schools?

Currently in my first year bsc studying architecture but have an interest in applying to GEM once I graduate. Do they look down upon architecture as a degree as I’ve heard they don’t like anything other than science related degrees or do they just care about getting a first? Do they also look at A-levels heavily?

This entirely depends on the uni. Some universities have a list of degrees they deem acceptable (like KCL, Pears Cumbria of Oxford), and these unis will exclude Architecture, yes :frown: But there are also a lot of other universities that don't care about your degree, like Queen Mary, Southampton... a lot more but none I've applied to so I don't remember them

Many universities will just look at your degree, but some will look at your A-levels. Some will do a thing where they will ask for specific A-levels and grades if your degree isn't deemed scienc-y enough (like Queen Mary). A few universities will even ask for your GCSEs (e.g.: Swansea), which is crazy to me but it is what it is. From what I gather though, when they look at A-levels and GCSEs it's more like checking that you pass certain cut-offs rather than an actual thing they use to decide who gets interview - that will be decided almost exclusively by just your UCAT score or UCAT + degree score.

Anyways, all of that are things to look out for when you're choosing which unis to apply to, but yes, you should be able to find universities that accept Architecture. In the unis that accept Architecture, you won't be at a disadvantage because of it.

I'm pretty sure you can apply at the start of your third year at uni, with predicted grades.
