It depends on what you mean by 'accounting' - this is a vast field from bookeeping to M&A. 'Accounting', writ large, is going to be massively impacted by AI, and whilst it probably won't disappear as a career, AI will radically change what it means to be an accountant: less number crunching and more strategy, I imgaine.
