Applying for a masters with a low undergraduate grade

Hi, having just missed out on a 2:2, my chances of being accepted on a masters are looking slim. Is there any point in even applying to Surrey when the entry criteria state a 2:2 but mine is a high 3rd? Would admissions even look at my application?
I think it's worth calling their admissions team to check rather than assuming. It is a difficult year for unis and many have more flexibility than they will publicly admit.

Might you state any work experience you have and also the course you are applying for? It would help if readers could read something as there may be something we find you may have missed. 🙂

Example being I got a 2.2 but my course application (graduated with Merit in November 24) stated 2.1 or above with some exceptions made at their discretion based on experience (I worked in a lab for 3 years before doing my Masters).
