believe it could be but may have to wait for UCAT deciles first
would help advisors if you structure your post to include all GCSE grades / A level subjects, too,
as per first page of the
which medical school should I apply to uberthread
one comprehensive self contained post is ideal
do break down your UCAT score fully
many thanks
think you have done so now on the main thread if so, very impressive to have a SJT 1

Will Exeter medical school be making the same number of interviews this year as last? As I am aware they increased their number of interviews invitations last year.

Hi what does Exeter rank the most a levels or Ucat and what decile usually , I have three A* predicted plus 2150 band 2 which is high 8th decile maybe 9th but have to wait for data to be released. Will I be shortlisted. My GCSEs are also 99999987 and 5 in spanish( should have dropped it 💀 was literally guessing the multiple choices with my rubber). I need a safety and thinking Exeter but I need to be sure if it’s safe enough? Thanks

The admissions policy, with scoring, is linked in the first thread or med school websites are a good place to look for this sort of information.
Cut off was 74 last year, but higher for the years before that

Exeter is one of the few remaining Universities placing high value on academic achievements, with 75% weight on A levels and only 25% on UCAT. They publish an Exeter score and you can calculate your own, but roughly speaking, 3A* and 8th decile UCAT will guarantee you an interview slot, even on the most competitive year (2024). Good luck

hello, where did you find last years cutoff? all ive seen is that it was 100, which seems so unrealistic because that would mean that no one with “predicted a levels” would even get in as their max would be 90 or 95. thanks

hi every time I try to open their pdf it keeps showing error 404. is there anyway you could send the scoring system here?

I have a ucat score of 2170, band 1
predicted A*A*A*
i'm non-contextual and not achieved grades.

is it worth putting exeter down?? because my grades aren't achieved

okay from what i remember, for non contextual, predicted grades, the max was 90 points. it accounts your predicted grades and your ucat DECILE. rn using last years data, you fall between 8th-9th decile, and u have max predicted grades. max predicted+ 9th decile was 90/90 points, and for max predicted + 8th decile it would be 86/90 points. someone on this forum said that last years cutoff was 74(not sure where this cane from) but either way, i think PERSONALLY think your stats are near perfect for exeter and should land you an interview.

hope this helps
