Ye I know I miss it too.

Applied Imperial Bath Manchester UCL Newcastle. For Meng in ChemEng. :yep:
most people who are excellent are going to apply to oxbridge among others, so it's more of a positive thing if a university is filled with oxbridge rejects, as it shows the high calibre of the people there

Cambridge maths is the greatest on earth. Why go anywhere else?

the quality of the engineers in imperial is probably the most superior in the world, its research is world renowned in this sector, much more than oxbridge, f1 testing used to happen there i heard, ive got an offer from them, but am waiting for cambridge, i have no idea where i actually want to go

Its engineering department is not that much better than Oxbridge as you make it to be.

MiT is better than Imperial anyway.

But it's not in the UK is it? I mean, who will deal with work permits, visas, taking the SAT, for the sake of going to MIT instead of Imperial?
im so academic

Overseas students, like me

(Although i'm happy with doing law in the UK).

But yes, I personally wouldn't go to the US anyway. Recent times article said that there are now more overseas students going to the UK for HE because it is safer and cheaper (3 as opposed to 4 years of bachelor education).

Oh.. fair enough. The point that I was trying to carry across is that I bet the majority of UK students wouldn't go to all that fuss for engineering at the MIT instead of Imperial.
