The Student Room Group

I just finished my A Levels AMA

So yeah it's basically what the title says.
I have done Maths (Edexcel), Biology and Chemistry (both of them are OCR A) for my A Levels and I'm predicted 3 A*s (but I'm hoping for the best)

I can also give some advice for GCSE students as well if they need help. I've got 9s in Maths (Edexcel) and Triple Science (OCR A), 8s in English Language, Spanish, History (all of these are AQA) and Computing (OCR). Finally I have 7s in English Lit, Religious studies and Geography (all of these are in AQA)

Finally, I'm also starting med school in Southampton in September (hopefully) so if anyone has any questions regarding UCAT prep, interview prep, etc pls let me know and I'll be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.

Congratulations to all of the Year 11s and Year 13s who have finished their public exams!!!

Congratulations on the great grades and med school offer. Did you get any other med school offers? If yes, what made you choose Southampton? What was your UCAT score?

Hi. I didn't get any other med school offers unfortunately. I got 2990 and band 3 for my UCAT score and I applied to Cambridge, Exeter and Bristol as well. The only uni that didn't give me an interview was Bristol.

Congrats on securing a medicine offer!
What did you do for the interview prep? For the interview, are there any books you'd recommend as background reading?
I was told that it's best to start some reading on recent medical advancements around October. If you agree with that, are there any websites you'd recommend.

That’s a fantastic UCAT score! What a crazy UCAT score you need to even get an interview at Bristol! I visited Southampton recently and thought it was great - the placements look good too. Have a great and relaxing summer.
