Pls help :/

What do you do, if your boss at work is extremely rude to you and favours someone else when they make the same mistake and are not yelled at for them. I only ask, because the way they speak to me is like I’m not even a person. It’s having such an impact on my mental health. For instance, today I forget something so got yelled at for it. However, when the other girl did the same thing she wasn’t yelled at for that mistake. Instead the boss laughed and said it was ok.

This sounds dreadful and I'm sorry you're experiencing this.

You should not be yelled at by anyone at work, that is unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour. Can you speak to HR?

If you can make a note of day, time, what happened and witnesses, that will help with evidence for HR. Companies need to be careful of workplace bullying.

If it is a Large organisation you work for then I would have quiet word from someone in HR (Human Resources dept) . Or if there is an internal helpline to discuss. Document what happened and when, and how it made you feel. Kept this log if it happens again.

If it is a one person business or small setup. Then if brave Enough have word with your boss “I felt taken advantage of when xYz happened not easy though.

Thank you for you reply. But, even HR is on their side. I have no choice as I can’t say anything as I’m a pre-reg student and this person is supervising me. 😕

Write down the details of all of these incidents, dates, what happened, any witnesses etc.
Once you feel you have enough evidence of bullying, talk to HR at your employer.

HR will keep this complaint confidential if you ask them to.

I have been in this situation, and my evidence to HR came on the top of other historic suspicions of that individual's bullying, and led to him being investigated and called out for his overall behaviour. Once it was all public - and my name was never mentioned - he resigned, Do it. If you don't, that person will keep doing it, both to you and to others.

But, the thing is I’ve actually spoken to HR about this and instead of addressing this person and keeping the situation anonymous they told them and said that we should try and make up. I’m not kidding I was so embarrassed.

Well that’s a poor HR dept. You could email the board- chair etc. go to top or if there is a union . Speak to them for informal support ( you don’t need be a member to get advice). You should also have harassment dignity at work policy. You’re not alone on this as your driven with strong moral compass

If they already know your angry and complained, there's nothing more to lose by simply asking "why are you treating me differently and more aggressively that others?"

Thank you, for the reply. I have made the decision that once I complete my qualification that I will leave this company. I work hard and always happy to help others in need, I feel like they see that and think it’s ok to take advantage of me. However, you reap what you sow.
