Age requirements

Hi , im now 16 years old applying for A level
I want to enter medical school in oxford or cambridge in september 2026 however ill turn 18 in december 2026 , will i be rejected for only a month difference?

Most Universities require you to be 18 before starting Medicine - this from Bristol :

Students must be at least 18 years of age by 1 September in their year of entry in order to undertake clinical experiential learning in our teaching (general) practices and clinical academies, which requires that students have the legal capacity to be bound by the rules of confidentiality of our NHS partners.

So its set by the NHS and it is not flexible.

Plan a gap-year. Get some life-experience. Then apply for Medicine.
