Medical school exams last minute preparation

Hi everyone,

I’m a first-year medical student, and due to extenuating circumstances (including a period of homelessness), I had to defer one of my exams and am now sitting it in a week’s time. Unfortunately, I’ve only just been able to start preparing and still have around six units to cover. Given the time constraints, I’ve decided to focus on four key units in the hopes of scraping a pass.

I’ve passed all my other modules this year, but this one has me feeling overwhelmed and honestly quite hopeless. The content feels like a lot to catch up on, and I’m really anxious that the exam will be too difficult to manage at this stage.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and managed to pull through with last-minute revision? I’d really appreciate any advice, strategies, or even just some reassurance from those who’ve faced something similar.

Thanks in advance.

Could you please recommend what resources to use and my university doesn’t provide past papers? Is passmedicine worth it?

For year 1 content I found Quesmed very useful as it contains pre-clinical questions and anatomy type content. You can pay for a month's subscription and then cancel it if you so wish?

I didn't use Passmedicine in my pre-clinical years at all and I've never looked at it's preclinical content. In fact, I don't even know if it covers preclinical content or not.
