Student Visa processing time for internationals

HI guys,
What's the average student visa processing time for applications submitted in may-june-july? And does this vary according to country?
Should I go ahead and buy my plane ticket or should i wait?
I'm still within the 15 day window stated by the ukvi but the longer I wait the more the ticket prices are likely to creep up!
What's your experience been like?

It is the cruel reality faced by international students. What you could do is wait. Maybe you could buy a ticket as close to the course start date as possible, with option for changing date. Good luck.
