Southampton ECS offered me 666 36 in the IB (AAA equivalent), I got 665 38 (AAB)

I missed on my HL Maths grade (needed a 6, got a 5 off by 4 marks), however all other conditions were met/overachieved (two more total points). Do Southampton have a history of lenience which would let firm students in with this/similar circumstances in their Electronics and CS department? Does anyone know when decisions for near misses come out and if contacting Southampton could change anything? My school offers academic support tomorrow afternoon, learning anything now would be a great help

Hi @Anonnymous

Thank you for your question, and congratulations on achieving such impressive results!

In terms of admission, I would strongly recommend contacting the University of Southampton's admissions team to discuss your individual circumstances. You can reach them by email [email protected], or by phone: +44 (0)23 8059 4732

They’ll be able to give you the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding your application.

I hope this helps, and best of luck!

Best Regards,
Student Ambassador
