Diagnostic Radiography

Question for those who are/have studied at Uni of Salford/Cumbria/Liverpool.

How far would you say the placements are from the actual Campus and also what are the timetables like, and could I request online learning if the Uni is around 1 hr away? Thanks for your time.

Hi @rengs251

It is great to hear you are thinking about studying Diagnostic Radiography and this is a great question!

At the University of Salford our healthcare placement teams usually take a students home location into account when organising placements. You'd be able to have a chat with your tutors on the course about this, alternatively if you'd like more information now feel free to get in touch with our enquiries team as they might know more or be able to put you in contact with tutors if possible. Their contact details are 👇️

Course Enquiries:

Email: [email protected]

Tel: +44 (0)161 295 4545 our team are available to answer your questions Monday to Friday, from 10:00-16:00.

Alternatively, if you are applying to attend university next year (2026) then I'd highly recommend attending an Open Day for wherever you are considering studying as they are a great chance to:

Attend course talks and chat to the course leaders.

Meet current students who can give you an insight into student life.

Have a tour of the campus and a chance to check-out the local accommodation options (if applicable).

Speak to the student support services.

Check out what else the university has to offer outside of your course, for example societies and international opportunities.

Get a feel for the university and whether you'd feel comfortable studying there for a minimum of three years.

Some universities (like mine) offer a small travel bursary to help cover the cost of attending open days as we know it adds up if you attend a few.

It is important wherever you choose to study it is the right fit for you!

Best of luck with your decision! 🍀
