How to stop thinking about a guy

I met him when I went to my cousin’s house a few months ago and we exchanged socials and started talking every single day from last month? We call or jus text depending on how busy we are and stuff but I don’t want a boyfriend.I’m starting medical school in September and i’m a very emotional person and I just know I don’t have the energy for a relationship also i’ve never been in one and ik that therefore getting into one would be really distracting for me, but I can’t stop thinking about him he’s on my mind 24/7 and I can’t focus on anything else. Does anybody have any advice on how to get over him

I get what you mean. Just get busy with things, hobbies friends ect. the more free time you have the more you think about him. I know it may seem obvious, but it may be a bit hard at first but a couple of weeks later you won't care.

Medical school will bring whirlwind emotions challenges and new social circle. I dated a pre medical school girl I cared for deeply knowing she was going to uni. Things dispersed soon in first semester. Have a brilliant summer with your friends m as long new adventures. Time is a good healer and treasure that you found someone you really cared for. Putting your self first both are extremely hard things to do. All the best of luck 🤞 with transition new lifestyle to come

Ughh its so hard cause my hours at work have been reduced and I do prefer that bc i’m more flexible when my friends want to make plans but when im at home/out alone I’ll see something and want to tell him ab it, thank god Ive only known him for a short time so im not really sad or depressed ab it just frustrated ig
